India is battling HIV since 1986 and the Virus is still without a Vaccine. Despite all the progress in HIV response, India still has a whopping 2.3 million HIV-affected people. The COVID-19 pandemic caused widespread disruption to health services in many countries including India. Disruption in HIV services has been reported during the Covid19 phase. WHO had found that the risk of developing severe or fatal COVID-19 was 30 percent greater in people living with HIV compared to people without the infection. (

Leveraging our experience in community action, outreach and having worked closely with the government in our HIV response programs, we have provided humanitarian aid during the C19 lockdown period with generous support from our supporters. Considering the need, vulnerability, risk, and distress of people living with HIV, we reached out to them throughout India.

With 300+ care centers across 32 states, we are facilitating access to healthcare and other key services to nearly 1.6 million children and adults living with HIV who are vulnerable owing to their fragile immune conditions. As many of our frontline workers are reporting positive of Covid 19 we have no option but to keep hope and move forward helping each other. We win together.
